My personal DPMS .308 24" H-BAR, barrel is now Black thanks to Lauer Dura Heat
 New Picture showing the Lauer Dura Heat coated barrel  Mods to original rifle are as follows: 1. LMT 2 stage match trigger 2. On of Arts great rail systems 3. Careful Break In, most important with SS Match Grade Barrels 4. Vltor stock for a good cheek weld and I added one of my Vltor Butt Pads 5. Badger Ordnance Ultra High Rings for a super solid scope mount 6. SS Scope 16X 7. I painted my barrel with Lauers Ceramic Dura Heat. I just didn't like the SS hanging out in the sun. Thats about it. My rifle shows a preference for Fed 175 Gr Match, but shoots good GI ball into less than 1" I wanted to check groups after barrel removal for Coating and Rail system installation. Nice shooting and nice looking rifle but boy that scope sure looks high!
I have heard these things shoot pretty good, and if you look around you can find the whole rifle for the price of an AR10T upper. I still think I'll get a T upper instead for my AR10 DPMS claimed a 300 short mag of some kind was coming two shot shows ago |

WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO ME?
As if the upcoming AWB sunset and soon available 20 round AR10 mags wasn't enough to make me consider an AR10. Then you just have to go and show me that. That exact rifle, with an 18" barrel is what I want. |

I don't think the DPMS Panther takes the same magazines as the Armalite AR10s. I thought they used Stoner's version of .308 magazines. Ban or no ban, I think Stoner mags are not very plentiful nor cheap. I could be wrong however about the magazines it takes. And when the ban goes away, I imagine that DPMS would make 20 rounders for it. I think the Bushmaster 308 rifle takes FAL mags. |

I was going to shorten the barrel to 18" but the damn gun was shootin' so good I chickened out and figured if it isn't broke don't fix it.

How about an updated pic with the painted barrel? I'm seriously considering having ADCO take some Coyote Brown or Earth Green KG Coat to my AR-10T upper when I send it in to them for barrel work.
