Any one using the Leatherwood A2 handlemount type scope mount have an opinion on whether it is a good design or have any problems to note? It looks lika a good stable design and should hold almost any scop of any lenthe.  Just curious and in the market for a mount.  THANKS    Simson

They work fine but you really should bed them to the carry handle and not get into a habit of taking it on and off.

It's best asset is that it will allow you to mount the scope a little further forward than other similar mounts, a draw back is that they are made out of a pretty soft metal.

There are some real Leatherwoods, and some knockoffs.  The knockoffs are junk.  There are better mounts around than the real ones.
