Will a Stag Arms lower fit a Bushmaster upper fine??
yeah but supposedly Stag Arms lowers are the same as RRA |
well the side of mine has places that cosmeticly dont match up so I dont know about that...
the left side where the upper has the little hump with the line on it, it does not match up with the lines on the lower.
It sure does. I mounted a new bushy FT on my new Stag lower. It was tight as expected. It looks and fits great on there. Colors match perfectly. Enjoy! |
Have you compared it to a RRA lower?? BTW dude cover up that Serial Number!! |
Other than that it is perfect. It is the nicest receiver I have ever owned.
what does FT stand for ?? |
It was done in haste... |
FT=flattop |
Ok I feel dumb now |

Now that's what I'm talking about! I have two consecutive serial # lowers just like that without the caliber designators on them. I really do like them. I have another on the way right now. Very cool |
I just wish they had picked another picture than a deer head, other than that they are super nice lowers
It is KA and a very big reason I grabbed em with the consecutive ser #'s. They kind of add a touch of the sportsman to the rifle. I love hunting and this just does it for me. They are made in the same machine shop as bushy and RRA. They are really nice quality. Class products all the way. |
I bought this over other ones BECAUSE of the deer head. Looks cool. When I do my XM177 though I will probably use an ameetec.
Ameetec has some nice lowers as well, they are teflon coated!!
thanks, I have optics orderd for it also but they are not here yet... I will not mention the optics though .
Im just waiting to build me a M4 once the AWB expires with my new Stag reciever but dont know what upper to use yet, im leaning towarfds Bushie but who knows. Probably the dissapator M4 profile barrel.
When I was a police officer I was issued a bushy and I liked it alot. I am just on a RRA kick right now due to Bushy's pricetag on everything.
I don't have the tools, time or expertise yet to build my own but when I finish my current committment in grad school I will build my own AR's. I have good friend who does special order stuff for me. He just finished a CAR with 11.5 w. 5.5" FS perm attached. It's all bushy on top with a Stag lower and
ACE skeleton stock. I love the setup. It is just top quality all the way. He is building second one for my wife right now. It is almost identical to mine but has Stag upper receiver with the same barrel conf except the barrel is fluted to reduce the weight for her. It also has an ARFX-E stock for a shorter LOP. Two flattops that are almost identical. Yeah baby! |
Yeah they do have some higher prices but if you by from dealers instead directly from them there are lower prices |
The good news is that bushy, RRA and Stag are all very nice and mix and match very well together. Also,
Stag delivery times are excellent whereas RRA is like 6wks out on most stuff. |
your right about RRA taking forever to deliver stuff. But they have a big Goberment contract thought so its understandable |
there complete firearms take a little while |
Continental Machine makes the Stag lowers and Bushmaster lowers and RRA lowers. You will have compatibilty with all three brands. I have mixed matched them all the time. I currently have two AR's with Stag lowers and 1 has a RRA upper and the other a Bushy.

Seems like the stag arms lower has something in common with my sister regiment, The Gordon Highlanders.

Of course the Gordons are no more, now almalgamated with other highland units to create The Highlanders.

where are Stag's Actually located? BTW I just received 2 stag lowers and I love them, looks very nice both fit and finish. Also, what is The Gordon Highlanders?
The Gordon Highlanders were a British Highland Infantry Regiment that has been amalgamated with the Camerons and the Argyl's to form the new Regiment, The Highlanders.
The lower says New Britain CT, so at a minimum the companies headquarters it there. |
Im sorry I should have been more clear I meant the stag (like the animal), where can they be found?
Aren't stags male red deer? They are native to Europe. It is kind of an elk, and IIRC does not have an antler structure like the deer on the logo.
The conotation most often associated with 'stag' by hunters is probably:
"An animal, especially a pig, castrated after reaching sexual maturity" This happens to deer sometimes jumping fences. Gawd that's gotta hurt. That'd be like jumping off the roof of your house and landing on a bike with no seat. |
No, they begin with: SA-XXXX |
Mine starts with S/N... not SA as seen in the picture I posted at the first of this thread.
The quality of the product is 1st class but the logo is corny!
