If the Clinton ban expires, I'd be interested in purchasing a Tactical A3 6721 or a Goverment A2 6520.

I realize the accuracy of firing these rifles with the iron sights is in the eyes of the beholder.  So for a more scientific approach, I'd prefer to hear from those who have fired these rifles STOCK with a scope. Can any of you guys tell me what the best groups I can expect to obtain at 100 yards is?  I fire regular sporting rifles and can understand  1 1/2" 100 yard group sizes much better than if I were to receive generic answers like it fires "good groups" or, " It will barely hit the side of a car". I do not intend to actually put scopes on either one of these rifles, but knowing the accuracy with a scope gives me an idea of the built in accuracy these rifles have. For collectors value I would not want to alter them anyway.

I am not familiar with these guns, as I am more a sporting guns enthusist.  So if you can fill me in on either of these rifle's pros and cons, and which of these two rifles you would prefer over the other, I'd appreciate it. (The A3 for starters is a pound heavier! Worth it?)  THANKS!

I just bought a Colt 6721 upper half modified with a low profile gas block. With an ACOG TA11 sandbagged it is scary accurate. With garden variety Federal 223 it was shooting MOA cold or hot. With match grade ammo/reloads and a better shooter I'm sure it could do better.

I'm in the process of freefloating it and turning it into a special purpose carbine. It was in the configuration pictured (non freefloated) when I tested it.
