Wish the search worked because I know this is out there. Looking at my first AR ,20", A4 what is the best overall twist 1 in 9 or 1 in 8 ? Looks like the varmint's are different than if I get a plain 20 and add the free float later. They told me I would not notice a difference under 500 yards on a bag. Is adding the floating tube hard to do?

The Oracle Knows all, seriously, read it if you have not allready. Almost all I know comes from this.

Some free foat tubes are easy to put on, like the ARMS "C" models and the KAC RAS II. Most of the others require special tools in order to take the barrle and front site base off.

I have a 1;9 now but if i could have i would of took the 1:7. Heavy bullets like VLDs rock!!! And IMO the 1:7 still does a good job with 55 grainers. My 1:9 is nice with everything up to 69grn. after that it starts to look like a mini in accuracy terms.
