I think they've stated time and again they won't being doing either of those things. If you want to hear it from the horse's mouth, you could ask in the Bushmaster forum in the Industry section.

Ihave been told by Bushmaster an AR dosent need those ramps if it ws made right.Carbines have been in use 30+ years and an updated one comes along and is suddenly unreliable and needs the ramps?I suspect colts quality control legacy is what led to the ramps.Plus the way they copy right every thing its just another thing to make their rifle unique.
