If your rifle is a "Chrome-lined" HBAR, then break-in is not necessary.
That said, with NEW rifles I always run a patch or two to make sure bore is clean. Don't hurt to shoot 10 rounds clean rifle bore, shoot 20-40 and clean again, but after that it'll go till your done shooting. Mike |
