Dunno about the pigtail, but I've seen SMGLee shoot his 16" AR with a PRI FatBoy in a video and it looks pretty cool. I would bet they might change the recoil impulse a bit.

If the gun is reliable now....why mess with it. The pigtail and fatboy are generally used for full-auto weapons, either to slow down the rate of fire or make the weapon more reliable by delaying and/or lengthing the gas impluse to the bolt, giving it more time to unlock and a slower rate of fire.

I must agree with jjmcrowel. I have all the Fat Boy and full auto. It slows down the cyclic rate and eases extraction but is generally unneeded in semiauto function. If you think you have some extraction issues, it's better to just go with HD/Wolff extractor springs and/or an extractor ring mod.

PERSONALLY, I SHOOT FULL AUTO VERY LITTLE. I LIKE THE NON-EXISTENT RECOIL PULSE THAT RESULTS WHEN USING THE FAT BOY. FASTER FOLLOW-UP SHOTS.
