Let me know how it works out for you, okay? By the way, the price is $785 for a 20" flat top WITHOUT bolt, bolt carrier, charging handle and carry handle. Sheesh, Colt uppers are EXPENSIVE!

You can get a brand new Colt R6700DC upper half (that's a 20" HBAR 1/9 A3 flattop preban) for $479.99 HERE If you need a postban, the MT6700 upper half (same specs but without the A2 hider) is the exact same price

I've had great luck with these guys, as well as with autoweapons.com and SAW.

Colts parts need not be horrendously expensive, as long as you know where to look

Someone directed me to that website, but the 20" barrels are not 1x7.

I own several 1/7ROT Colt barrels as well as two 1/9ROT Colt barrels-I've had very good luck with both twists

My SHTF weapons have 1/7ROT barrels to handle Hornady's 75gr TAP round, but there are also effective 69gr choices for SHTF duties with a 1/9ROT. All of my non-Colt ARs have 1/9ROT barrels.
