Is it just me or does the ARMS 40 not fit under the ACOG NSN not as well as advertised? I can feel it leaning on the sight a little. Does anyone else have this problem?

does your 600m aperture have the horizontal cut on the top of it?

Hence the ARMS #40-L...

yeah it has the cut.

I know about the 40L model but I thought that the regular 40 was supposed to fit under it anyway.

The regular ARMS 40 may or may not fit depending on how the tolerances stack if you use the TA51 mount. You have to use the ARMS #19S or #19ACOG mount for a guaranteed fit.

Thank you! I think i'll pick up a 19S right now! I have a RAS II, so I'm wondering if the 19S is the same length as the standardflat top mount for ACOG?

While I personally use the FF RAS MRE I can assure you that the 19S will accomodate both of your needs in fit on your upper and clearance over your #40.  Here's my gun, however it's a KAC 300 mtr. BUIS instead of the ARMS.

My new TA31F with its TA51 flat top mount fits just right.

My TA31 with ARMS 40 fits okay. (not much room left though)

I'd like ARMS 40L if it is going under ACOG. 40/40A if going with reflex type sight.

When I had the NSN on my M4 the ARMS 40 fit perfect underneath it.

Thanks for all the help and the great welcome guys!

new-arguy - You addressed the last concern I had about the RAS II. I think I should have been more specific in what I was asking (ie. if the ARMS 19S mount will fit between the RAS II aimpoint hump and the rear sight). I'm glad you could understand my internetlish. Thanks again.
