I've got a Bushmaster AR-15 in, obviously, 223.  I've also got Arsenal Inc AK-47 carbines in both 7.62x39 and 223.  What I'd like to get next is a complete AR-15 style rifle in 7.62x39.  Who makes a good one?

Post ban 10 round mags are easy to find and will allow you to use and enjoy the rifle as you build up a collection of higher capacity mags. And hopefully, come September it will no longer be an issue for those of us residing in free states anyhow.

I wish some company would come out with an AR-15 that would take AK mags, If Bushmaster can make one that takes cheap FAL Mags and Oly makes one that takes M1 Carbine Mags how hard can it be ?? If Oly thinks there's a market for an AR in 30 Carbine there has to be a market for one in 7.62X39 using AK mags !!!

I have a SW AR-47. Had good luck with it so far. Usually shoot cheap Wolf. Mine is a 20" model.

Colt hasn't made them for years, but upper are available.  I believe DPMS will make you a complete rifle in that caliber, and perhaps Model 1?

Olympic Arms might still make the rifles - they still make the uppers.

What's not to like about the superior ergonomics, accuracy, and aftermarket support of the AR combined with the close range power, legal to hunt with, and generally lower cost of the 7.62x39 cartridge? Sounds like a win-win situation to me. Between my 2 Colt 7.62x39 ARs and my two AKs, the AKs pretty much spend all of their time collecting dust in the back of the vault.
