Has anyone used M33 handgaurds as the mounting platform for a red dot sight?  How did it work?  Did it hold zero?

I have heard that they are not good for mounting sights of any sort, Just for vertical grips and flashlights, although I dont know from personal expeirence. This topic is always coming up and that seems to be the general consensus.
