I have been thinking of getting a new M4 barrel after (hopefully) the AWB expires.  After posting here before, I think I'm convinced a 16" barrel is the way to go, but I definately want a vortex flash hider on it, and I'm a little worried it will make the rifle a little too long in the front.  How do they look, does anybody have pics?  Thanks.

Not an M4 but a Vortex on 16" barrel anyway. It does look a bit longish, but I don't like the look of the fireball that one gets without the Vortex either...

The old G.I. "duckbill" flashhider works almost as good, and is much shorter. In fact the Vortex is only an improvement based on that design.
