Finally managed to finish it after a 2 month wait on the scope (Leupold's fault).   Took a couple of quick pics as the sun was going down.  I'm a happy dude. hanks

Man, tax money must be flowing!  There have been some really nice builds completed here as of late.

This is another fine example!

Nice JOB!

I saw this rifle on the "What's gone through Adco" thread in the industry secion and was intrigued.

Can you list the specs?   I've seen that particular handguard several times in the last couple of days and the barrel is interesting.

Thanks guys!

Hey.....anyone know where I can get a nice, new A1 length stock?  The A2 is maybe a tad long for a nose to the charging handle cheekweld.

Cavalry Arms.  I just got one and it's a LOT lighter than my friend's old A1 length stock.

For playing around, I love my new A1 but during my "bad day at the range" (see thread) I was almost wishing I had my A2 back on there.  When sitting at a bench the A1 almost had me too close to the charging handle.

I think one of these would top the whole thing off nicely...

I wsa wondering about the price of that upper as well.

And Onslaught?

What is that, drop compensator on a scope?

I've been wondering, and this is as good a time as any other to ask...

What is the point in the SPR concept?  What does it do that makes it better than any other AR?  I assume that SP stands for "special purpose"; so what is it's special purpose?

You have made my wait all the more intolerable have.

You're gun is the rage. Did you have to request the black finish on the GenIII or do they come that way now. I like it much better than the gray fiberglass look.

That PRI rail and Troy sights should make for a nice upper.   I didn't request either finish as I originally had no preference.  Now.....I'm glad I got the black one.  More business looking then the nude carbon.  I'm happy with it.  Only thing I requested special was the bead blasting on the SS barrel.  Looks a bit darker in person....goes well with the ARMS rail finish.  I like the 2 tone effect.

I thought the Special Purpose of the SPR was to have a light sniper rifle that was suppressed and was capable of quick follow up shots.      Why do you think the 18" bbl length was chosen?   So the total length  wouldn't be so long with the suppressor.   I see the light sniper rifles capable of quick follow up shots, but where are the suppressors on everyones sexy SPRs?

PS.
That SPR will make most guys cum in their pants just getting to shoulder it, let alone fire off a few suppressed rounds.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe that the OPS suppressor is currently unavailable to civilians due to it being manufactured in CA.  Some silly law about selling military issue parts to civilians or something?

Doesnt matter, New York State won't let me own a suppressor anyway.  As for the 18" barrel length, I'll let someone more in the know answer that.  I believe it is simply the optimal length for accuracy, weight, and manueverability in a combined package.

Awesome rifle! I really like the Mod 0 package even though it does not seem as popular as Mod 1 clones around here. I wonder what the military uses more... Mod 0 or Mod 1? Cant say as though it would matter much to me though. Just curious. Yours looks a lot like mine, but I have no OPS Inc brake, I have a 20" fluted barrel and a different scope (M3). I just put a #40L on mine and I think its great. I see what I think is a Knights bi-pod mount on yours. Yours sits a lot lower and offers a sleeker look than the ARMS #32 throw lever mount for the bipod on mine. I do like the throw lever on the ARMS mount, but it does add some height. Anyway... great looking rifle!

I'll know by sunday how she runs.  Provided the weather holds out of course.

new-arguy:

Yep....KAC bipod adapter.  The ARMS unit wouldn't work for me as I switch the bipod between my bolt gun and the SPR.  The ARMS unit attaches to the bipod instead of the rifle, and the bolt gun has no bottom rail for it to mount to.

M700, nice SPR. Where do you shoot at? Calverton? I just missed the UPS man today and he has my DD upper from ADCO. I'm also hoping to get my Eotech 552Rev.F in about 2 weeks and then take it out to Calverton to sight the entire gun in. I have a new DPMS lower which I think I'll put a 6.8SPC or LMT MRP upper onto.  Stan

Thanks Stan.  Yep...I'm at Calverton pretty much every other weekend during the spring and summer.  Stop by and say hello....I'm almost always down on the 200 line.  Pretty easy to spot....look for a bunch of custom AK's and listen for my buddy's M82A1.  he
