Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Newb Question about uppers

If I purchase a Bushmaster XM15-E2S 16" M4, I would want the option to slap a 9mm or .50 upper on.  Would I be able to do this?  Do I just remove the upper I have, put the 9mm or .50 on, and  fire away?  Thanks.

As long as the uppers are post ban, unless you get a pre ban lower.
The only problem is that some 9mm uppers require a slightly different hamme to work correctly.
I have used my friends .50 Beowolf with no difficulties.
