I recently acquired a Genghis 5.45x39 upper, my first of the AR "variants."

I bought it for the cheap ammo available, and the "30% greater wounding potential".

Its also quieter and kicks less, so it is turning out to be my "chick" gun at the range.

I like it so much, I am trying to weigh my options for my next upper.

I have heard of 9mm, 50 Beowulf, and .45 ACP uppers available.

9mm aint what I am looking for, and 50 Beowulf is too dang much to shoot ($$$).  That leaves 45 ACP.

Anybody out there got any opinions on this?
Looking for a versatile cartridge for an SBR at present, but all opinions welcomed.

Thanks

A Tromix 50AE upper would be a low cost/high yield ammo.....

HTH.....

Thanks, that .50AE looks like the way to go.
Same pop as the Beowulf, without the nasty $2 apiece rounds.

Still trying to find a .45 ACP upper that I can get high capacity mags for, though.

Thx
