I bought a pre-ban Colt HBAR Sporter back in 1992. It's the model with the sear block and no bayonet lug, but it does have the A2 flash hider.

I know Colt changed the diameter of the holes for the fire control group, but when did this happen?

It pisses me off that they did this. I just hope the holes in my lower are standard size should I ever have to replace the hammer.

I don't know which size holes you have, but I can tell you that large hole fire control groups are readily available from a couple manufacturers now.  Bushmaster and Colt to name a couple.  The pin size issue really isn't as big a deal as it used to be.
