Has anyone ever hunted wild boar with a AR15?  Just curious?  And if so do you think that 223 is enough for the job?  thanks

I just kill paper, propane cans, pumpkins etc. but if I was going to hunt it wouldnt be anything larger than varmint size. No way on deer, coyotes etc. Im sure some guys do, but if you get a bad shot off and say, blow off a nose, lower jaw, or take a leg part way or all the way off, well... Not good. If your going for bigger game, go W/ 30.06, .308 etc. Hell .223 will drop a bear if you hit him in the right spot. But I'd use a bigger caliber IMO... John
