Merry Christmas to all. This is my first post to a great website.Have a few questions regarding a recently purchased new Armalite M15A2.Ready, here goes
1)Is it possible to switch the safety to the other side for a left hand shooter?
2)Is it possible to mount a .308 upper on a .223 lower?
3)Where is the best place to buy an M15A4T(24" brl.)Armalite brand complete upper?
Thats it folks, It's that simple.
Merry Christmas to all ,Thanks for all replies.

No, a safety cannot be reversed. It sucks. I'm a lefty. You could rig it, but you'd need to do some dremeling to the safety itself. Your best bet is picking up an ambi safety.

As for the .308 upper, No. The .308 lower is longer to fit the longer .308 round. However, you can get a 7.62x39 upper. It will fit on your standard .223 lower.

Welcome aboard! and merry christmas

Where in Mo? I'm near St. Louis....Scott AFB, IL.

CMMG's located in Columbia , Mo. THey are great guys to deal with, and might be able to help you out a bit.

I live in Mascoutah myself. Active duty Air Force. You anywhere in the local area? I've been looking like mad for a decent local range.

Thanks for the reply NAM.I live about 50 miles west of St.Louis in the Union-Krakow area.Closest shooting range that i'm aware of is Indian Springs. It is a Mo Dept. of  conservation range and only goes to 100 yds.Another is in Warrenton. It is also a conservation range and also goes to 100 yds.Have been to the gun show in Belleville a few times.Good show.
Thanks again,Mike
