Hello, can anybody tell me the complete difference between the M16 & the Ar15?

if I'm right, AR15 has only Safe and Semiauto... M16 has Safe, Semiauto and Burst/Full Auto

The main difference is one is "select fire" the other is semi-auto only, the M16 is the military designation for the rifle, the AR15 is the civilian designation.

This is the generally accepted terminology today, but be advised both Armalite and Colt did produce Fully Automatic weapons called/stamped "AR-15" in the early days.
