Mine does, but not a lot. I have a new Bushmaster upper with a 20" barrel & I noticed that there is a small bit of play in the gas tube (in the receiver). The attachment to the front sight base seems rock sold & fine, and the bolt carrier does not hang up in any way.

Is this normal? This is my first 20" barrel & on all my 16"s there is no play or movement at all.

Thanks.

Thanks Cliff.

Does everyone agree...normal?

I was wondering the same thing. My 20 and 24" barrels have a tad bit of play and my 16"s are rock solid.

My Bushmaster M4 type has just a little bit of wiggle...just enough to allow for easy cleaning around the tube in the chamber.
