Just bought a new one to replace the old on my Oly Preban. Havent removed the old thus the question..Holding the buffer of the new stock, feels like its got a counterweight inside(which I know is normal), but should it shift back and forth? I dont believe its shot like some of the crap on the market, feels like a weight but not lead shot if that makes any sense...

Inside the buffers there's a series of steel slugs seperated by little rubber pads.  (Except for the cheapo shot-filled ones, of course.)  When you shake it, you should feel the weights thumping back and forth.
