Brought my CQB/House gun up to par with my UCR. Added a #58 MOD Sir, and a Dieter forward sling loop. Next will be a Surefire for each, and a remote possibility of an A1 length VLTOR on the CQB gun.

Looks Awesome!  Is that a mid length carbine? with a mid length SIR?  What is the make of your rifle?
Thanks in advance.

Its a standard Bushmaster 14.5 inch heavy barrel carbine. The SIR is a #58MOD, not a #58. The #58MOD is made to fit standard carbines.

Dirk, just wait... I have a new rifle in the works. Maybe it will be ready to debut at the next shoot. The optic is on its way!!! Mr. TA31 fan went ahead and secured a TA11!

I dont know if anyone noticed, but that is a NEW #59 on the Dissi. Traded the pre-production model in to ARMS for a new production model.

Couple of different ones. Both however, will be in Arms throw lever mounts with push button caps.

Hawkeye, I was just wondering if you had the newer #59.  I wanted a USO SN4 on mine, low, but didn't have the receiver length w/ my old #59, the new one cleared it right up.  Enjoy the #58MOD, I love mine.

Note, that mag's empty (just for pic.), the hammer was just dropped on an empty chamber preparing that rifle for storage.

Yes, see my post just above yours. I think that was a common note among the pre-production owners. The production model is much better in that regard.

That dissipator is sexy.....

Aight so I'm going to claim ignorance and ask what is the purpose of a dissipator? I mean it doesn't have a longer barrel or anything.

Full sight plane in a compact package.  The best of both worlds.

As armax said, you get a full length sight radius in a carbine length package (should you need to go to iron sights). Also, it leaves very little of the barrel exposed for one to get burned on, should it have to be used in a real fight, and still retains the easier portability of a carbine vs a fullsize.

Hawk,

Is the second stock collapsible or fixed? And what's the weight?

Fixed of course. [;)]

Not sure on the weight. I'll have to try and weigh it and see.
