Just ordered one today.  I'm thinking about getting one more.  Unfortunately, only about "20 or so" orders have been placed.  Let's go people!

I think some of the problem might be that the new ammo from Georgia Precision isn't available yet, and may not be for some time.  I have been considering the idea of one of these barrels, but frankly, until I can reliably get some of this new ammo, I won't.

Maybe it's time to put the project on hold til the ammo availability situation stabilizes.

What is the purpose of a long range bullet in a carbine barrel? Just curious.

Me too.  I am sitting back and waiting to see how the ammo deal plays out. IF 6.8 SPC ever happens I may go that route instead.  It all depends on ammo availability.

75/77gr is already available from Black Hills at SAAMI pressures, which is still better than M855 even if you can't get the NATO-pressure stuff.

Troy,
One huge disadvantage of using Match bullets is lack of penetration. Match bullets are made with thin jackets and will expand or fragment on contact mostly causing a flesh wound. I think most bullet makers advise not to use match bullets on game.

Just my 2 cents.

You might go here and check out the tests that were done with those 77gr bullets.

Penetration on human/deer sized game looks great to me.
