I thought I read where someone was making uppers in a new mid caliber wildcat cartridge. Now I can't find the article. It was a recent gun mag not more than a month or two old.

Does anyone know what round it was and what article I'm talking about?

Not the Beowolf. that has been out for quite a while. This was new. Maybe something in the 6.5 to 8 mm range?????

Driving me nuts to find that article.

Was it the Leitner-Wise LW15.499 maybe.  I thought I read somewhere that they were making rifles for the Coast Guard.  Here's the website.

I did a search. The search you did isn't the cartridge I'm talking about either. I have to know what it is before a search is helpful. Thanks

It wasn't Barrett. IIRC it wasn't a big name company.

LW7.82S x 24 mm Weapon System

I think you are talking about the 6.5 Grendel. GWLE had an ariticle on it about 2 months ago.

Not to keep rehashing this but if you saw the second link I gave you, the 6.5 Grendel was listed by newbushmaster.

You ARE rehashing for no good reason. Your link was referencing a article in SGN. I do not take SGN, so that reference didn't "click" in my mind. SIGNAL4L saying the 6.5 Grendel article was in a GWLE article confirmed it was cartridge I was thinking as I DO read GWLE occasionally.

Thanks to everyone that provided info.

Or it could be the 6.8x43 SPC.

Indeed, I can think of at least three manufacturers who will soon release their 6.8mm x 43mm uppers by the SHOT Show.
