I think Olympic has the best looking stamping with the Griffon logo. Has the quality of OLY lowers gotten better in fit and finish?

I see a lot of new Oly stuff, and it all looks really good.
My preban oly looks like shit. I think Armalite and Alexander Arms have the best stampings. |

The .50 Beowulf guys. I don't have an URL, but I looked at their stuff at Gunstock and it was good stuff.

I like my Colt SP-1 with the original Colt logo and because it says "AR-15" on it. I also think the Bushmaster "snake" is cool.
|
|
No opinion really on best looking markings; although I do like Bushmasters.
How about worst looking? |

Ok, the Horse of course is the best! I just got a new roll mark Colt Commander.....it's SCHWEEEEET! I wish Colt sold stripped lowers!
|
|
Yeah I agree, the FAG-10 is about the most disgusting lower out there.
|
|
Armalite has the best by far, although, I do like the Kilroy on the side of that one
|
|
In your opinion.....who has the best looking LOWER rollmarks/corp id? View Quote Why its gotta be an 80% lower, NO markings at all. lol. nice and clean and smooth. |

RRA. Discreet and professional; Tromix seems to be the the same.

I think Sawsales has a few. I dunno, but they carry a crapload of Colt parts.
If anything, I think the Fulton Armory recievers got nice markings, with the 'US Rifle' title. It's good... |
|
Lauer Custom Weaponry has lowers with their logo on them. they look pretty kick ass. the logo is crossed M16's. i went to pick one up but they didn't have any left. next batch i will get one!

I'm going to go with bvmjethead and say the Mega lower is the best looking. The two that I have are absolutely perfect.
Edited to add: I also like the Olympic logo too [:D] |

Armalite and Bushmaster has the best out of the most common name brands IMO. But man, those MEGA stamps are pretty nice. Sheesh, who would buy the FAB-10? Yuk!
|
|
Who is FAB-10 and is it a 7.62mm lower? I agree, the FAB-10 markings are Uglo! I like Fulton Armory's markings too....a bit light but still nice, alot of thought went into making them look good.
Oly's Griffon is great! |

View Quote FAB-10 is a Republik of Kalifornia legal receiver that has the mag well closed off and a permanent internal mag riveted in. You must pop out the rear takedown pin and shotgun the rifle to load it; it is an abomination, but if you live in the no-rights dictatorship of Kalifornia, it's the only AR you can have. |

Like this thread's author, I've always been partial to the Olympic Arms logo...

now that you mention it, the grain definitely looks particulate.

Oly, hands down.
Both of mine run perfectly-with all ammo, every time. |

Anybody have a close up of the DPMS logo?
I'm thinking of picking up one before the ban ends(writing and calling my reps. weekly) and I've never seen one. thx |
|
As logos go I like the OlyArms Griffon, but the PCR model name turns me off.
I liked the Sendras for thier basic simplicity. No fancy logos just stright line text. Like what engraver could not replace straight line text on a receiver gone bad. |
|
I've always enjoyed the Colt logo, but that's just me [:)]
I also like that my M4gery actually says M4 and not "Watered-down Feinstein edition": |

I have always asked myself something about BM.
Why do they call themselves "Bushmaster", and put a rattlesnake on the side?? Bushmasters DON'T have rattles. |
|
_DR Thank you.
I didn't know if they included the panther on it or not. |
|
i think the mega is pretty cool. but in this race i say luckystiff wins.
but ONLY because his has an extra hole above the selector![:D] |
