What is wholesale for a Bushmaster 20" V-match? Are these good rifles?

Thanks!

I picked up a 16" V Match yesterday. Paid $850 for it from my dealer. It has the standard trigger, which is about 7 lbs. As my preference is a way lighter trigger and I am going to use this for IPSC 3 gun, I will be spending some money right away to change the trigger. I also recently got a Varminter which comes which a 2 stage adjustable trigger - way nicer. A thought (which I wish I would have had before I bought, did not realize how sucky the stock triggers are) would have been to buy a 20 inch varminter to get the good trigger out of the box. The 24" varminter I paid $980 for.  I imagine the 20 inch would be somewhat less. The 2 rifles are very similar outside of the trigger issue.

OK,
I am looking for a 20", chrome lined, prefer govt profile but H-bar will do, flat top. This is intended to be a field rifle that I can drag through the brush without worrying about a nice wood stock or finish. I live in the wide open High Desert of Eastern Oregon where I can take a shot up to 500 yards on predators or other problem ranch animals. I would probably be served well by a good bullet that can deal with high winds. I would also be interested in back up iron sights. I am thinking about a 2-7X variable scope with illuminated reticle for low light shooting (skunks!).

Thanks

Could I replace the aluminum free floater for something better to deal with the heat build up? What iron back up sights do you like? I could put some nice tritium sights on it for low light work.

I had a V-Match but got rid of it because of the heat in the handguards.  Well i got rid of the upper.  Isnt the only thing that makes it a v-match is the upper and lower are hand picked for a somewhat tighter fit and usually it doesnt have a front site and of coarse FF barrel?  I pay between $775.00 and $804.00 for mine at a local dealer.
