Handguard cap on or off with m4 FF RAS?  I suppose its the same question as the SIR guys.  I guess the hollow end would look cool, but the cap could block some mud and weeds from getting in there?  I'm leaning towards removing it.  Any junk that falls in could get out just as easily.  Opinions?

Cap off.  No need for it and it will just get in the way if you try to wipe off the barrel.

I went cap off - mostly because the cap would not fit with the FF-RAS in place; but it actually makes cleaning and maintenance of the barrel easier since I can run a bore mop down the open area to put a protective coat of CLP on the barrel there.

It should also cool better minus cap due to improved airflow.

Exactly what they said.......cap off!

I went throught the same thoughts you are and went cap off for added cooling and ease of cleaning.  Happy I did!
