Jafager:
ArmaLite takes a GREAT deal of effort to respond quickly and clearly to customer problems. We're at a loss to respond to your comments without specifics.
Any firearm company will experience problems, especially during the early learning curve period. We've actually been very gratified to suffer few problems, and the feedback we're getting from overseas is overwhelmingly positive. Please see the Tech Notes in the Library at ArmaLite.com to see how we react to known, and possible, problems.
You have to remember too that 4 decades after the M16 was first fired by the Army, that rifle is still receiving small changes. We expect to react to the usual problems that come up during production and to continually sharpen the design.
The big difference at ArmaLite is that we've established significant QA, Engineering, and Laboratory capabilities that have produced extremely efficient arms, and this is shown best on the AR-10. No, we aren't an inexpensive assembly house. It's an expensive effort, but the result is apparent in the field.
