What kind of reputation do eagle arms rifles have?  I am looking at a preban with 3 pos. stock, 16 in. bbl, early 3 prong flash hider, and A-1 pistol grip. Thanks for your help.

I had good luck with the preban I use to have.

Pre-ban Eagle Arms rifles are very good with a good reputation.  Get it if the price is right.

Does anyone know what twist rate the barrel has, and if it is chrome lined or not?

No chrome lining, should be a .223 chamber and 1:9 twist rate.

I've had no problem with my Eagle Arms and the chamber. Will spit out anything I put in it.

I've said it before, Eagle preban lowers are top notch.  The uppers being non chrome lined are OK range tools, but swap the barrel for any serious use.

the EAGLE ARMS I have, is stamped 5.56mm on the mag well, so I pretty sure the chamber is cut for 5.56 ammo.....which means you can fire 5.56 and .223 out them. these are some excellent made rifles, excellent fit and  finish and quality through and through.

You're mistaken, the chamber is of .223 dimensions but it will still handle 5.56 fine but these chambers will probably gum up a lot quicker then the Chrome lined 5.56 variety.

I have a 16 inch h-bar pre-ban with collapsible stock that I bought at a funshow about 4-5 years ago for the unheard of price of 795 dollars. I have had not one glitch and soon it will be reborn in M-4 configuration.

I bought an Eagle Arms EA-15 E2 H-Bar back in 1989 after I heard some guys talking about them down at Camp Perry during High Power. Colts were way over $1500 and this rifle was advertised in Shotgun News for $695!  Seemed like a lot of money back then!
The catalog that came with it didn't offer any chambering info but the barrels were 9-twist.  Receivers were 7075 T6 aluminum alloy forgings with hardcoat anodizing. It's a sweet little piece of "jail-bait".

The rifle in question has an A-1 lower, A-1 16 in upper, 3 pos stock, and three prong early flash hider.  Is $950 a fair price for this rifle?
