I may be interested in getting one of these for my shorty.  First question for anyone that has experice with them, how do they do for distance illumination?  I'm thinking out to about 50 yards I'd like good illumination, will either or both of these get the job done?  How about price, what do they really sell for and where is the best place to get them?  Are there other or better options?  I'm intersted in the higher illumination because I will be moving to the sticks and may need it outdoors as well as indoors.

The basic 500A will illuminate to 75-100 yards with the low output bulb.
