Not that it matters, but it would be ironic if it was actually post-ban after all of the liberals were considering that incident "proof" that the assault weapons ban needed to be renewed.

First you are assuming that Malvo and Muhammad did, We dont know that, secondly they havent been tried yet.
Third the Bushmaster Ar15 that Muhamad bought were resold to the same store several months later and is now in the hands of a lawful gun owner, so exacly which gun did the shooting ?
We just dont know.

The Gun that the FBI "recovered" from M & M while they were sleeping in in thier car at a rest stop is a BM 16 inch Post Ban Carbine with a scope.

Is there a conspiracy theory at work here?  I believe the gun that was recovered (note lack of quotation marks) in their car was linked via ballistics to the rounds recovered from the victims.
