I was wondering if the rifle used by the shooters was a preban w/ flash hider or a illegaly assembled rifle or a postban. I ask because watching USA i saw an ad for a TV movie about the D.C. sniper and the first thing they show is a rifle barrel with a flash hider slide out of a trunk of a blue car and a hole cut out to see from. I can just tell, soccer moms and other gun control commies will take this movie to be accurate in every way(which i doubt it will be) and use it in their unconstitutional battle of my rights.

the media seems to portray the rifle as a pre-ban in every image i've run into, but no articles i've found have stated anything other than it was "a bushmaster model xm-15 with a tripod and a scope".

muhammad stole the rifle (he was the subject of an active restraining order, and therefore prohibited from legally owning the rifle).

in an interesting sidenote, some guy named Eric Haney who is supposedly a retired US army sergeant major was quoted on several webpages as saying "The Bushmaster make is one of the less expensive models of the of the semi-automatic rifle, usually costing between $500 and $600, he said. "The Bushmaster is known as a cheap gun,"..

i wonder where he buys his bushy's.

also, i wish to god ppl would stop calling every anti, politican, so-and-so a "commie". it's such a cop out.

communism

: a form of socialism that abolishes private ownership.

What is private ownership limited to? Guns? Cars? Clothes?

When was the last time you talked to a soccer mom who even had a clue what a flash hider was?  They seen an evil black rifle and think one word, "MACHINEGUN".  End of story.

You beat me to the punch! I saw it 3 days ago & meant to rant.

No, the DC snipers (AFAIK) used a newly purchased postban Bushmaster and did NOT alter it.

This incident was the fault of President Bush, whose administration such a weapon was sold under according to the fucking Brady Bunch's website. That do-nothing president (who is in support of the AWB) is at fault because these weapons were sold/manufactured during his administration.

I suppose Columbine was the fault of Slick Willy, who allowed "Assault Weapons" to remain on the streets for half of his 1st term and didn't close that loophole for the remainder of his "stewardship". It's funny how the Brady fucks didn't call him to account on that.

I heard Haney's comment on CNN... I was really disappointed in his comments... It was just after I had read his book 'Inside Delta Force' and had a high opinion of him until I saw his comments on CNN... I regarded them as highly uninformed, ignorant BS that changed my perception of him..

[insert mandatory veteran teabagging here]

Haney is a deluded jackoff who learned every single thing he knows about anything at Uncle Sam's knee.
