I guess a 10" bbl would be good if you were going to add a suppressor, that would keep the oal to a min.   I've been kickin' around building a Model 1 Commando w/11.5" bbl and a 5.5" flash hider to keep the overall bbl. length over the 16" mark.  I don't want the flash hider welded on though because it'd be a real pain to replace the gas block/front sight base if anything happened.    Also, what about muzzle flash?   With such a short bbl. I'd bet it would be large.  Anyway, if it's what ya' want go for it.  Talk at ya' later.  TN.Frank

What a terrible idea.  IIRC, the M855 round has to be traveling at about 2700 fps to fragment.  Therefore, this weapon will be far less lethal than a standard arm.  Using this arm could be dangerous to the operators health.  Maybe Troy or Tatjana or Brouhaha should chime in on this.

If they use MK 262 ammo they will be great for CQB work.

Almost worse than useless.

Ugh.

If the barrel has been cut back behind the 203 segment, is it still a M4? or is it a SBR with a light profile barrel?

I find it interesting that the accurary was measured at 200 yards.

For a weapon like this, I would have wanted to know the accuracyfrom 7 to 50 yards.
