I have only had one about 2 months now so I can't really say that I love it. It was a little strange getting used to it at first, but I am starting to appreciate it more.

I've been using one for a few months now and didn't know how useful it was untill a tactical carbine course.Everyone in the class had one as well including the instructor.For CQB, I wouldn't want any other.

I love the "holster" effect when the rig hangs, but I [u]always[/u] end up getting nailed in the nuts whenever I start to move with it hanging. [nuts]

Have a Giles on my M4 for the last several years. Yes there are negatives to them, like extra movement when you go hands free, but Ive also had bitches about 3 points being in the way all the time.

I agree with Lumpy pros - vs -cons I just made a 1point sling out of a Deiter sling which I got from Blackhawk - it sucked supposed to be 1.5 inches wide barely and inch and a quarter. I could have sent it back but I really liked the elastic strike points so I cut it way down and use both HK hooks on a DPMS A2 single point sling attachment and it works great I like the freedom , no one mentions having used one of those Blackhawk AR15 holsters that would solve the problem of moving around alot .

I have a GG&G single point stock washer on my M-4. I bought it to use with my Black Hawk Chalker Tactile sling. It's ok.

I just put on my carbine...I have only put 5 mags thru it.... I like the look but the gun swings to its lowest point and to me it's about a foot to low....I am goint to try it on this gun for a while but will probably go back to a A1....

I have a Giles. I hate 3 points with a passion. I love the single point though.
The only thing I want different is an easier way to take it off the rifle. I don't like it on there when I am just shooting, or cleaning it and what not. As for the nut shot, that happned to me once, I won't ever let it do that again...[nuts] I trained my left arm to tuck it to my side every time I let go now. I've found that I like the single point a lot more with shorter guns such as MP5's and 11.5" AR's.
But it is a nice concept, especially for LE work where you might need to detach quickly for any reason. (I've got the CQB version with emergency release buckle) |

I recently discovered a new way to use my Giles Single Point, especially during handgun transitions and when I need it out of the way.
I use the verticle foregrip (the magwell would work too) and roll the gun quickly and smoothly to the ejection port side while pulling it to my left shoulder. The sling pins it against me and its out of the way for the draw and stays there when I bring the weak hand up to meet the handgun. Its very stable, even while moving. I can swing it around behind my right hip this way also to clear it for using my hands. Gets a little tight around the neck, but its temporary anyway. |

Love it for tactical use, sucks for long term carry.
