If you were building a varminter would you want a High Rise flattop or just a regular flat top? And any special reason?

I am going to be ordering my kit today from JT and I cant decide which one I want.

Thanks

KC

Regular flattop offers more flexibility.

[rolleyes]  Flat top ! you can all ways add a riser to it. I have a riser on mine. The riser to me is like a quick disconect when I wont to change scopes.

Yep.  Get the flattop.  Much more versatile.  Plus, depending on the scope you mount, you might need a rail.  For example, I just mounted a Leupold Vari-X II on an AR and because of the long eye relief, I had to use an ARMS sleeve and low rings.

Keep in mind there are lots of ways to mount scopes and the way I chose was just the one I preferred.
