Are FAB 10 ARs allowed at CA. indoor/outdoor ranges?

My local gun shop which carries the stripped FAB 10 lower told me that if a cop at a range sees a FAB 10, he might take it away from you. My local gun shop advised me to always carry receipt and DOJ letter when bringing a FAB 10 to target practice.

They are allowed, thats the whole point. I belive he thinks that the cops will not know the law. In my general expierience, cop do not know gun laws very well.

Yes, they are completely legal, but cops are stupid, and you should never trust what they might do. I always keep a copy of the DOJ letter in the buttstock.
