Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Barrel Heat and vertical stringing of shots

Shooting AR-15 with the barrel free-floated. Shot pattern is vertical. Tight left to right but more than I want vertical. Shooting wolf and UMC.

Going to get some 62 and 77 grain next to see what happens.

Anyone else having same problem?

It is called barrel walk. its normal. Heavy barrel do it less. but still do it.

Check your breathing also. Shoot on your normal respiratory pause, it's the most consistent.

Both of those ammo types are known to have inconsistant velocity, which is likely the biggest factor.
