Can anyone provide a link, drawing, or photograph of the optimal sight picture for an AR-15 A2 iron sight?  I'm not accustomed to ring sights, yet.

Thanks in advance.

UPDATE

dang that's hard, here's the best pic of the 5 or so I took...

The basics of the sight are, have the tippie top of the front sight post on your target, then have the target in the middle of the back aperature. Mainly focus on the front sight and the back sight part will be natural.

Alright, tried again, but just took a pic of the front sight post. The back aperature should have the target(little outlet on wallplate) in the center.

My aim was off a little bit. The outlet should be perfectly on top of the sight post.

Here's one of an ARMS 40A BUIS using the 0-200 large aperture.  It's not the carry handle but it uses the A2 apertures so it should look exactly the same.

Not to stray off topic, but Black Hawk Down, Ghost Recon and Americas Army are my three favorite games. I love the sight picture in BHD with the red dot on the M4. J

As for the pictures posted.

Just center the front sight post in the rear sight apeture. How perfect it is isn't as important as being consistent(same every time).

Its important to maintain the same stock weld each time you pull the trigger also.

Same as shooting a gun, aquire the target and proper sight picture, hold steady and depress the trigger without upseting the sights! [;)]

BTW, the camera is an Olympus 3040Z.
