I recently purchased a new bushy superlight with the chromed bore. I have been shooting a Rem. 700 bdl .220 swift and found that treating the bore with Brownells moly bore treatment paste has produced much better accuracy and slightly higher velocities.

My question is- Would there be any detrimental effects on the chrome lining if i tried this in my new bushy?

I know chrome lined barrels will last more than long enough with regular maintenance but by adding the moly will it make it even smoother and last a little longer ?

Probably a dumb post, but hey, I'm new to the whole AR thing.

Higher velocities with moly?  Thats unusual.  Moly usually reduces friction and pressure meaning lower velocities.  Did you up your powder charge?

A moly treatment will not have any ill effects on your chrome lined barrel. Moly coated bullets will, after a time, cause a buildup in the barrel that is difficult to remove.
