You're excited now, but the excitement will quickly turn into an obsession. More mags, more ammo, more guns.

It's not too late for you. Tell me where I can pick up the rifle and I'll dispose of it for you. Go buy yourself a nice 22 or something. Don't fall into the deep hole of despair the rest of us have already reached. Soon, you too will be lamenting the lack of availability of South African battlepacks, the high cose of USGI magazines, the fact that your wife will kill you as you ogle that M4 flattop with ACOG, etc.

Stay away ! Don't say you haven't been warned !

If you choose to ignore my advice, welcome to the club. [beer]

Since I live in Maryland.  Thats when.

Some gun shops around here even register a 20" HBAR as an assault weapon.

Congratulations on your first AR.  Have you ordered your second one yet?  [:D]

I got my first AR about this time last year (a 20” A2 Bushy).  At the beginning of the year, I built another lower and bought a Bushy 16” M4gery upper for it.  Yesterday I ordered a RRA Varmint upper for the RRA lower I build a few weeks ago.  So, what’s gonna be the next one for you?  [;)]

So, today is the big day.  I know all too well how you feel.

Post some pics.  (Just make sure you wipe the drool off the rifle first.)

Know the feeling very well!  My first AR upper arrived yesterday as well.  It was an RRA M4 from Del-Ton (they have these again, $470 complete!  great price, great service!)[bounce]

Now I'm waiting on my lower.  DPMS with an ACE ARFX-E stock.  Wanted to go with RRA on the lower as well, but got too good of a price on this with the stock and grip I wanted.  Also waiting on my Aimpoint, mounts and #40.  Oh yeah, and my magazines! [banghead]

Already need more magazines....need a sling...need lots of ammo...need a cool carry case...Sure didn't take long for the disease to set in! [:D]

Congrats on yours!

ITS HERE!!!  It came with a Colt 10 round mag, but pictures have to be taken with the 30 rounder.[bounce]
Sorry about the blurry one.

My other black rifle is a Ugo SKS with Dragonov stock and red dot scope.

I predict that by next week the SKS will be sold to buy GI 30 round mags and a case of Lake City M193 [):)].

Beware of the Colt 10 (9?) round magazine. I had some nasty FTF's after about 40 rounds, which completely disappeared after changing to USGI mags. Hopefully yours works OK, but I don't even want to sell mine on Ebay.

The 30 round mag is a no name I picked up in a VA gun shop.  But it seems to be well constructed.  I won't get a chance to shoot it til next weekedn, I will come back with a report
