Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - M1 carbine "enforcer"

I'm thinking of picking one of these up for home defense.  Has anyone ever fired one?  If so what were your thoughs and impressions?  worth it?  I usually keep an ar15 for that purpose, but think that I'd be better off with something much more compact.  

I like the idea of the enforcer.  Anyone with a price check as well.

Is that the one made by Iver Johnson? If so it would be among the three biggest POS's I ever bought, in all of my 20 plus years of shooting (my only excuse being that I was eighteen when I bought the stupid jam every other round, loose mag well junker.)

If I were you, I'd think about something else for home defence.

Thats the info I wanted...I've never fired one (and it is made by Iver Johnson).  I wanted something like an ar or ak AOW.  However, the high price is a problem.  The enforcer seemed like an economical solution.  Thansk for the heads up.  Sloth
