Got to agree with Troy on this one,

It's one of those gee whiz parts designed for a problem that doen't exist, by someone who hasn't had much time in the field with said rifle. Usually sold to those (by deceptive advertiseing) who also lack trigger time behind said weapon, as the miracle cure for all ailments to include functioning, reliability and accuracy. When the only thing needed is more ammo to become a better shot, and more time becomeing familiar with the weapon.

In my years shooting and repairing the M16/AR-15, I have never seen a firing pin bend or break through actual use. Those that do become unservicable are usually because the operator has used it as a punch to disassemble the lower receive and bent it slightly so as to drag in the bolt and/or used it to scrape the carbon from inside the bolt carrier wearing down and blunting the tip to cause insufficent protrusion.

Put your hard earned money into something more useful like more ammo, or save towards that Aimpoint.
