Just learned about this gun show - starts tomorrow.

It's about a 30-mile drive for me.

Anyone familiar with it - any good?

Based on the shows in Central IL.

Its pretty descent,But nothing to brag about.

I don't think Mayor Dailey allows guns or gun shows in Illinois

Coincidentally, I believe one of my sons will be at SAFB next month for some sort of seminar. He is a USAF Captain and works in the Pentagon.

I have never been there, and there are two ways I can go:
(1) 67N + 270E + 255S = 27 miles
(2) 67S + 40E = 28 miles
Either better than the other? How difficult is it to find the center?

The Good People of Southern Illinois have no use for Daley and His Liberal Chicago cronies.

Belleville, IL has one of the best St.Louis area gunshows.
Collinsville has gone downhill but is still worth seeing.

Good selection of stuff. Didn't see much crap.

I'm goign back tomorrow to pick up ammo .MAke sure to save a case for me!

Just got back myself too. Best show I have been to this year. Clean, enough space between tables so people can walk through, lots of stuff, and good deals.

Example - one vendor:
(a) HK91 magazines - Had really good ones for $5/each and excellent ones for $7/each (yes, five and seven $ per mag - G3HK and date stamped). New in wrapper were $15.

(b) Portuguese .308 (the good stuff) for $32/200 and $150/1000. A little higher than a year ago, but it is scarce now. Don't know how much he had left.

Enjoyed it. Will go back in October for sure.
