I would like to check with you guys if you are
quite familiar with the stampings/markings on COLT's lower receiver. Somebody is offering me a
complete rifle. He said it has a COLT lower but the marking is only "COLT AR-15" cal. 5.56.(with the
rampant horse)
It does not have the markings beside the safety(beside also the bolt release) that says
"COLTS FIREARMS DIVISION"
COLT MFG. CO. INC..
HARTFORD CONNECTICUT
U.S.A.
All of the COLTs that I have seen also have this mark. i am just worried that it may be some
el cheapo receiver, engraved with COLT.
Although his bolt carrier looks like a real COLT. Thanks guys!! I hope you can help me with this one
