Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Colt model help

I have a Colt Sporter Competition HBAR II with a serial number prefix I cannot identify. The serial number is JC000XXX. I cannot find any info referencing the JC prefix. I would like to know what this prefix is and what the original configuration of the weapon was. I called Colt and they want $50 for info!
