Yes ck this site out!(http://www.bushmaster.com/shopping/magazines/db-a2.asp) I also saw some plastic ones at the gun show yesterday for about $5.

Take your ejecter spring and thread it on to a round tooth pick (teeth pick for those non-Michiganders) and file a turn or 2 off. Reinstall and try again. Repeat until you're satisfied or ruin spring. Buy a spare first.

Push a large leather glove through the carry handle and let most of the glove hang over the ejection port side. This is what I am doing for now. In the near future I am going to cut a few coils off the ejector spring.

The Hollyweird heros never seem to lose their brass. When you shoot a semi at a 90 degree angle to perpendicular (ejection port down) The hulls land on your feet. And sometimes the projectiles land on your toes. Mikke

Where the brass is ejecting is an issue of the weapons timing as well as an indication of a weak extractor spring. If replacing the spring does not work you may need to look at the gas port size in your weapon.

Just got a Bushmaster brass deflector and tried it out at the range this week-end. Excellent.

I cut 2 coils of the ejector spring. Now, instead of throwing brass 10ft at 5 o' clock, it throws it 4ft at between 1 and 2 o' clock.

As a left handed shooter, I've cut two coils off of the ejector spring. Most of my brass is now ejecting between the 1 & 2 o'clock positions.
On my AR180B, which doesn't have a brass deflector I've done the same thing. I would cut one coil at a time..it may be a little time consuming..but it's better than cutting to much the first time unless you have a spare parts kit. |

www.armalite.com has a wealth of information in its Tech Notes. One dealing with this subject is "TECHNICAL NOTE 34, ADJUSTING THE EJECTION PATTERN OF THE AR-10 RIFLE". The things discussed in this Tech Note apply also to the AR15/M16 family.
