Very nice!  Is it much heavier than your standard M4 stock?

Awesome Camo job. I'm envious! [^]

Larry, it looks like you have a aluminum M4 stock. Is it?

Larry......

How'd you get 4 AA's in the stock? I can only get 1 AA and 1 123A in each side.

Like you, I love the stock.

I liked my M4 stock more than my VLTOR, but I needed battery space so I swapped out and gave my old stock to Elad_Eflow. It works well.

TWW,
I can get 2 AA batteries in each side because i Dremel half of the rubber off of the tube caps. It still seals too.

w/o having 2 AA's and 3 DL123's next to me, could you tell me if 3 DL123's fit w/ your cap modification?

LarryG36,

Nice pics!  Thanks for the letting us in on the 2 AA mod![:D]

I'm getting one of these very soon and I'm still switching back and forth between the clubfoot and the standard carbine stock.[BD]

new-arguy,

What factors made you select the clubfoot version?  I'm thinking the clubfoot has more space for future Vltor mods and the support hand usability is nice too.  Does the standard carbine Modstock have any advantages over it?

Decisions, decisions...

Larry-

Did you see my conversion? Your's seems to be easier and less expensive to do. Kisara had a better idea of modifing existing caps instead of the aluminum plug that I made.

OKAY, GOT IT!!!! (sorry for yelling)

Oh, and btw, Iget it now, I really really get it.

VLTOR, very nice.  I know "old news"

'Kay, now;  Colors, and a full length tube option for the CAR length stocks.  See, Lordstoner and, Larry G36's mod's.  Just food for thought.  But then you guys are way ahead of us, right?

Larry, can you post a pic of your mod?

I just don't see it...  Couldn't you get a trapdoor AR grip and shove a few batteries in that?  By the time you replace your existing tube with a Colt, this little gem ends up costing $200 or damn close.  I'd rather have a RRA 6 position M4 stock for $70.

My tubes are already Colt, an A2 trapdoor grip, won't contain the volume the VLTOR does, it also doesn't improve the cheek weld, and isn't modular.  My.02c

Got mine yesterday. Hiram, if you were to feel what the cheek weld on these stocks are like, you;d stop wondering what the big deal was. I think they look ugly as sin, but cant believe how much they improve the feel!

Funny at first I also thought they were hideous.  however I thought the sme of the Beretta, compared to the 1911, and the M4 barrel profile.  Over time though these things grow on me and become less "offensive".  I don't ever "like" them, just learn to appreciate them and get used to them.  Hopefully, though, I never try out Mr. Fitzpatrick's M33, I've got a receiver waiting for a new stock, and that thing's tempting.[;)]

Just got mine! i gotta say, i was expecting to tape it up over the toothy joints there, but my cheek doesn't even know they're there!

Thanks Wes!!

They're like the conformal fuel tanks for the F15. I hope to receive mines next week.
