Does anyone know how to go about adding a bayo lug to my Ar15? I'm just wondering if there is a kit out there. Thanks in advance.

I ordered a new front site with bayo lug from Yankee Hill Machine for $42 shipped.  There are some bolt-on bayo lugs but I decided to change out the entire front site.

If you intend to add a bayonet lug to a post-ban rifle you will be breaking current law, a felony.

If you have a preban rifle that came without a bayo lug (like the Colt "Blue Label" guns) you will be okay unless there is a local/state law that comes into play.

Don't know if you knew this already or not. Just wanting you to play safe, that's all.

If you have a preban 16" your lug is in the wrong place, and this will help.  If you have a post ban front sight in the right place, it won't, and in any event that would only be legal if you were converting the upper to install on a grandfathered pre ban lower, or a fab-10, or a lower with a 30 rounder permanently attached to the lower.
