Hey are flat tops legal in cmp shoots?

I seem to recall that they are NOT legal. Although, I seriously doubt that a shooter would be turned away from a match for having a detachable carry handle.

Find the competition forum and ask there.

if you shoot in a standard (non-regional) cmp match they will almost allways let you shoot open class (iron sighted space gun) or "F-class" which is a scoped AR-15.

I used mine in a Highpower match; my understanding is that the flat top would not be legal in straight service rifle matches, though.

For Service Rifle, no; as a Match Rifle? It's done all the time, but only with aperture or "iron" sights for the XC shoots. You can use 'em with telescopic sights in the "4 gun" shoots too.
